If only… if only I could make the world perfect, the way God intended…
If only… if only I could preach the Sermon on the Mount and everybody would follow it!
If only… if only I could teach the Greatest Commandment and make everyone obey it!
If only… if only everyone would love every one…
If only… if only no one would do anything to hurt anyone…
If only… if only everyone would have enough of whatever they need…
If only… if only we lived in perfect relationship with God and with each other.
Yes, if only… if only I could, I would change things;
And make everyone understand perfectly,
live perfectly, and love perfectly.

It reminds me of a quote I read by Mother Teresa, something about Jesus’ humility can be seen in His inability to get people to understand what He was offering them…this world is passing, but He has offered us Himself and a life of Love with Him that begins now if we accept and it will last forever if we continue to participate…
