Desolation #45

At the time of your departing

Along about daybreak,

There was shock, and desolation,

Tears that fell like rain.

At the time of your passing

Beyond the reach of my voice,

There was mourning, with consolation

Resting in faith.

At the time of your dying

To this life and breathing,

There was hope of transformation

Born into new life.
